The Saj House story
When Saad Issa set out to open Saj House in 2004 , he had a vision in mind that would set him apart from other Middle Eastern Restaurants in the city; he was going to specialize in Mana'eesh- a delicious savory flatbread with many different toppings. With minimal experience in the food industry, Saad was confident his restaurant would thrive, as he puts his heart and soul into everything he does (and he knew good food well). Soon enough people from all over Nova Scotia were hearing about Saj House and the unique, authentic food it was putting out. The business became a family affair, as Saad's wife & four children could always be found behind the counter, whipping up some delicious Lebanese creations & chatting up a storm.
With nothing but word of mouth as advertising, Saj House has been fortunate enough to feed thousands of famillies, locally and across the province for over 13 years. We quickly became a neighborhood favorite and a necessary stop for anyone that was passing through the area. Nowadays, you can spot some of our ads around town, on social media, or hear about us on the radio.
We have always been, and will forever remain dedicated to providing authentic, healthy, flavorsome & made with love Middle Eastern Food to the people of Halifax.
